  • A 5-week work readiness skills program taking place in various locations. Dates for summer 2024 begin on June 3. Referrals go through OOD.

Abilities First

  • A half-day sensory motor and writing camp for ages 4 – grade 3. Summer 2023 programming dates range from June14 – July 29 from 9:30 AM – 11:00 AM. Accepts insurance, Medicaid, and scholarships.

Beyond Words

  • A team of Music Therapists and Dance Instructors offering alternative methods of communication. Programs available for ages 2 and up. Summer programs begin June 17, 2023 in addition to regular programs available all year. Private Pay and Family Supports funding accepted.

Camp Can Do

  • An adapted skills-learning camp that also includes supervised recreational activities for ages 5-13. The eight-week program broken down into four sessions begins June 17 – August 8, 2024. Registration fee is $20 and opens on 3/5/24. Additional fees for sessions.

Camp Cheerful

  • A camp offering a variety of therapeutic activities. Many programs available for children and adults starting in June 2024. Accepts waiver funding.

Camp Happiness

  • The camp (located in Wickliffe) focuses on children and teens social and recreational programing as well as skill enhancement in a naturalistic setting. Program highlights include swimming, community outings, art, music, and adaptive exercise. Summer programs begin June 17 – July 26, 2024 for ages 5-21. Receive a hardcopy of the application by emailing Kathryn at kehedberg@ccdocle.org. Accepts waiver funding.

Camp I.D.E.A.S.

KRAZY KAMP

Stuttering Together Summer Camp 2024 (Cleveland Hearing and Speech Center)

Akron Rotary Camp for Persons with Special Needs

All Abilities Camp

Flying Horse Farms

  • A camp for children ages 7-21 who has a diagnosis within the areas of cardiology, hematology, oncology, rheumatology, gastrointestinal disorders, pulmonary disorders, rare diseases, and facial anomalies. The camp is available at no cost and includes lodging and meals. Camp program dates range from June 8 – August 11, 2024. See website for specific sessions. Family sessions provided in the Spring and Fall.
