Murray Ridge Center serves eligible individuals in a variety of settings throughout Lorain County. Volunteers may assist with special activities designed to enrich the lives of children and adults with developmental disabilities.
Educational Services (Weekdays/September-May)
- Murray Ridge School
- Assist with special events
- Chaperone field trips
- Develop instructional aides
- Summer Day Camp (Weekdays/June & July)
- Assisting camp counselors
- Assisting with special events & field trips
Adult Services (Weekdays/Year-Round)
- Opportunity/Vocational Centers in Lorain & Oberlin
- Chaperone community outings
- Assist with recreation activities
- Plan, implement, and/or assist with special events
- Supported Employment Enclaves & Placement throughout Lorain County
- One-on-one opportunities
- Chaperone recreational activities/outings
Residential Services (Evenings & Weekends/Year-Round)
- Small Group Settings located in Lorain and Oberlin
- Chaperone residents at sporting events, shopping excursions, dining-out experiences, or other entertainment activities

Special Olympics (Evening & Weekends/Year-Round)

- Assist the coaching staff with practices
- Chaperone athletes at competitions
- Raise funds for teams to attend regional & state competitions
- Assist with planning & implementing annual Special Olympics Banquet
- Recreation Program (Evenings & Weekends/Year-Round)

Choraleers
The Choraleers is a performance group comprised of adults who receive Murray Ridge Center services. The group travels throughout Lorain County and Northeast Ohio performing vocal selections for organizations, service clubs, and religious services. Volunteers can assist by:
- Assisting with fundraising efforts
- Providing transportation for Choraleers using Agency vehicles
