ASSISTANT MANAGER – RESIDENTIAL
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum:
Associate Degree. Experience working directly with persons with developmental disabilities (DD).
Flexible schedule and ability to meet direct care needs of all residents of facility.
Good receptive and expressive communication skills. Must possess a working knowledge of windows-based computer programs such as Word and Outlook, including the manipulation of attachments. Ability to access documents and templates on agency’s website.
Must have a valid Ohio driver license and an insured, personal vehicle for use while on agency business. Must have and maintain a good driving record. Must have a record of reliable work attendance and continuous satisfactory job performance.
Preferred:
Familiarity with regulations related to operation of an Intermediate Care Facility for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (ICF/IID). Knowledge of and ability to apply behavior support techniques and protocols as they relate to the DD system. Knowledge of Care Tracker documentation system. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Supervisory experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible to manage and meet the time commitment for operating a group home for adult residents. Maintain operational compliance with Medicaid and ODODD Licensure regulations/standards.
Responsible for all functions related to the home and all personnel issues while on duty.
Supervisory duties include scheduling, giving employees assignments, training, orienting, evaluating, implementing corrective action, processing payroll, etc.
Provide direct care to residents and/or prepare resident meals in the case of direct care/cook shift openings. Address/implement approved behavior support interventions, as needed, and prepare prevention plans applicable to unusual incidents. Transport residents, as necessary/assigned.
Gather information in order to assist with the development of resident Ohio Individual Service Plans (OISPs).
Monitor and ensure correct, compliant, current documentation of resident services in the Care Tracker system.
Complete paperwork relevant to resident services and benefits. Assist with planning resident activities in and out of the home, and with handling resident funds per procedures/requirements.
HOURS:
Flexible and available as needed. Regular weekly schedule includes evenings and weekend hours.
SALARY:
Level 5 (Management Contract)
