QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum:

High school diploma or GED. Two (2) years demonstrable PC and data entry experience. Prior experience with Microsoft Office Suite software.

Possess good verbal and written communication skills, organizational ability, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Be extremely detail-oriented and possess strong organizational skills. Possess the ability to precisely follow detailed written and oral instructions for categorizing, documenting, and filing.

Ability to work efficiently in both a team setting and individually.

Able to use office machinery, including copy machines, scanners, and hand-carts. Able to maintain the confidentiality and security of agency records. Record, maintain, and update the location of agency records.

Able to lift/move moderately heavy file boxes of records weighing up to 65 pounds. Able to stand for long periods of time.

Able to follow procedures relative to food service operations at the Murray Ridge School.

Valid Ohio driver’s license and an insured personal vehicle for use on agency business. Excellent driving record.

Must have a record of stable and reliable work attendance.

Must have a history of satisfactory job performance.

Must be able to meet all requirements and obtain all certificates required to perform the job or any aspect of the job, and to access funding for performance of any aspect of the job.

Preferred:

Record retention and scanning experience. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite software and familiar with PaperVision software.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Know and follow agency policies and procedures applicable to records retention, retrieval, and destruction.

As assigned, accept from various agency departments all paper records for storage, categorizing them according to agency policy, and filing them in storage boxes properly labeled and secured. Assist with labeling boxes, per established standards, as necessary.

As assigned, when properly requested, retrieve agency records and/or documents. Create and maintain a record of all records/documents requested and ensure that said records are ultimately returned and refiled.

Annually review records, electronic or otherwise, used within the agency departments, in order to ensure compliance with the agency’s records retention and disposal program.

Assist the Business Office in the processing of accounts payable vouchers, including data entry, collating, copying and filing.

Provide back-up coverage for the agency courier.

Provide back-up coverage for the food service program at Murray Ridge School.

Assist the Transportation Coordinator in the movement of agency vehicles, when necessary.

Assist the Family Support Services Coordinator as assigned by the supervisor.

HOURS:

19 hours per week. Monday, Tuesday, Friday 8:00a-2:00p; Thursday 8:00a-3:00p. Flexible as needed.

SALARY:

Level 2

PROBATION:

280 calendar days (initial)
